St. Dwynwyn's
January, 2011 - Date/Time to be determined
St. Dwynwyn is the Welsh patron Saint of Lovers.
This will be held at the Kirk of the Bonnie Brae, on Steele near Louisiana
(1201 South Steele Street, Denver, CO 80210). 
This is a mini-festival of Welsh Culture including a potluck dinner.

March...

St. David's Day
March 7th, 2010 - 2:30 PM

Kirk of the Bonnie Brae Church, 1201 S. Steele Street., Denver.  This is a celebratory service celebrating the Patron Saint of Wales.  There will be music by the Colorado Welsh Society Choir and the Polished Brass of Calvary Baptist Church, in addition there will be poetry, soloists and congregational singing.  There will be a pot luck dinner after the service.  CWS will provide tea and table settings.  Please bring a dish to share.  The CWS folk dancers will perform following the dinner.

This is a free event and open to the public.  Donations are accepted.

April...

Gymanfa Ganu
April 25, 2010 - 2:30 PM

A Gymanfa Ganu will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 13th and Quebec in Denver on April 25, 2010.  Joe Corbin from Wisconsin will be the guest conductor and Gordon Krunnfusz from Wisconsin will be the guest organist.  This is a traditional Welsh hymn singing festival. There will be some songs by the choir and some solos. In addition the audience will participate in the singing. The Gymanfa Ganu will be followed by a te bach, tea and sweets and savory items brought by the members of the Colorado Welsh Society and participants.

Welsh Rugby in Glendale 
May 29, 2010 - 3:00 PM

On May 29th, the Welsh Warriors, a touring Rugby team from Wales will be playing the Glendale Raptors at Infinity Park in Glendale.  There will be a pub reception for the Welsh team at a date to be determined.  Check the website for the Glendale Raptors for more information on the game.  The Welsh Warriors will also be going to Vail for a rugby match with the Vail rugby team.

Champions 2010 will be in Glendale on June 19, 2010 to play the Glendale Raptors.  Check the website for the Glendale Raptors for more information.

Annual Meeting & Board Meeting and Picnic
June 26th, 2010 @ 11:30 AM

This will be held at Sterne Park in Littleton again. The annual meeting business will have a recap of the year's activities and election of new members to the Board of Directors. The annual meeting will be followed by a pot luck picnic.

Elizabeth Celtic Festival

The 17th Annual Festival will be held at Casey Jones Park, in Elizabeth, Colorado south of Denver.

Owain Glyndwr & Welsh Heroes Pub Night

We will meet at Garcia's Mexican Restaurant, 5050 S Yosemite, (Yosemite N of Belleview). This year we will honor Owain Glyndwr and Jemimah Nichols. The evening begins with a social hour and talks on our two Welsh heroes followed by lots of Welsh entertainment, including poetry, folk dancing, and singing. Everyone is welcome. Welsh Language Classes
October to May: Every Tuesday evening from 7 PM - 8:30 PM
Welsh language classes begin for the year. See the Welsh Language page for more information. Classes helt at Catholic Archdiocese of Colorado,   South Steele Street and East Louisiana Street. The classes are followed by Te Bach, refreshments and time to socialize.

Georgetown Historic Days
December 2010
The Welsh Folk Dancers will be performing at the town hall in Georgetown at a date and time to be determined. In addition to folk dancing there will be a reading of excerpts from Dylan Thomas' A Child's Christmas in Wales. The group will also sing a couple of songs in Welsh.

Christmas Tea

Come celebrate the season with members of the Colorado Welsh Society at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 13th & Poplar. We will have Christmas songs, Welsh hymns, and Christmas Customs, followed by te bach (refreshments) and entertainment. Everyone is welcome.
